Do the nazis know where there food comes from? Can you imagine the food industy sanitizing every bit of hardware all the time? I've worked in the food industry,

Do you think them will die of there own self-prophecy? An infected beer causing a menacing buglar - they love beer - to kill there dog?

Majority of newbies on this forum are scared ****less if they don't santized everything. Its like a boogeyman.

If the nazis follow there own logic they won't be eating any food any longer. Its not santized.

And the problem with sanitizing things is???? Yes, some people are over sanitizers, but I cant think of one thing wrong with making sure your stuff is clean and ready to use. Conversly I can think of a bunch of things that can be caused by NOT sanitizing.

For the record: I actually use santize solutions. But its not the first rule of brewing and neither the first reason why you should think your beer is no good.

Its like saying you never cooked the chicken very good because the dinner plate is dirty.

I invoke Godwin's Law.

Also, as long as you're not going to "take some advice" levels, I think you're fine.

I know what needs to be immaculate and what doesn't. I know what needs to be sanitized, and what doesn't. I know where the problem areas are. And as such, my cleaning and sanitizing is pretty focused. But there's nothing wrong with noobs going a little overboard. Better to be too clean and sanitary than not enough.

I've not had a single drink tonight, but this post is making me giggle like a schoolgirl. I don't know who/what got your panties in a wad, but wow. Not trying to make fun, it's just hard to take it serious when you call people Nazis and fire off both barrels.

I dont think thats why people are sanitizing though. Ive never seen anyone on here say "my beer tastes bad because I didnt soak everything in StarSan".

I have seen infections take over beers because the equipment wasnt sanitized which DID ruin the beer. I see this thread going nowhere, fast

Where are these "sanitization nazis"? I mean, I see people recommend sanitizing what you are supposed to, but a "sanitization nazi"?

I am sticking by my first impression - too much Claritin.

Is Claritin some kind of NC slang for bathtub meth?

Yes, noobs need to be more careful than experienced people, as far as I feel about it. You learn what you can get by with from experience, not from google or, heaven forbid me saying it, STRICTLY from what you read here. Everyone's experience and environment is different, so you have to learn from doing. I'm sloppy on sanitizing; I'd beat up a noob who tried to get by with what I know I can get by with. 2 bad batches in 7 years.

Would you eat your leftovers after ~6 weeks? 6 months? Couple years?

Your comparing apples to oranges wrt food.

Well my issue with the chicken thing is... What if it was raw chicken on the plate? Salmonella? :rockin:

Its like a Master Cook preaching to the protege. The number one rule is CLEAN pans and dishes!

I guess i'm not making my point.

Everyone with a brain knows you need to have things clean when your going to pour it in your ****ing body.

Its super ironic i'm making a big deal out of something that is driving me nuts because the homebrew community makes a big deal of it!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Actually the first rule is u know your ingredients. No one says sanitation is paramount. If they're out here preaching it, I'm ignoring them.

Ok, great, good night, thread. Time to put this 1 to bed and let it pass away peacefully in its sleep.

I did just read the thread title over again. Maybe OP just wants to know if you sanitize Nazis that maybe it might kill them? Like, old WWII tactic
