I'm going to bottle today and I'm using Cooper's Drops at the suggestion of a friend. Do I need to sanitize them before dropping them in a bottle? I saw another thread where someone said they just sanitize a pair of tweezers before plucking one at a time from the bag. There doesn't seem to be a specific answer to my specific question, though.

Thoughts?

I didn't bother when I used them, but you could just sanitize them by dropping them into the bottles with remnant StarSan foam from sanitizing.

I wonder what would happen if you put them in the microwave... would they heat up to above 170 degrees?

I have never used them, so cannot attest, but logic tells me you would run minimal risk if hands (or whatever came in contact with the tabs) was properly sanitized.

Since they're in a sealed package,I didn't bother sanitizing them when I was using them. No need to even worry about that. At least wash your hands 1st when using them. Never had a problem in regard to sanitation with the drops.

Probably one of the reasons they are so pricey, outside of profit, is because they are pre-sanitized by method of their creation. There's no need to sanitize them in any way, but you might want to wash your hands with antibacterial soap before handling them just to be extra cautious.

Thanks all for the notes. This was me being curious/paranoid more than anything, and it all makes sense.
