I’m going to check the fg on my first batch tomorrow in preparation for bottling Friday. Do I need to resanitize the lid and airlock before putting it back on the bucket for the last few days? I don’t plan on the lid touching any other surface I’m just going to unseal it and let it rest to the side while I get the sample then reseal it.

exactly why i always have a spray bottle of starsan on hand when fermenting. always better safe than sorry - real easy to give things a quick spray-down before putting it back in contact with the beer you've put so much effort into.

Agreed! Spray all dat ****! Definitely better safe than sour!

I use a 2L pressure spray bottle and I sanitize anything I touch multiple times. Necessery? perhaps not, but it is like 0 effort and I'd rather be safe than sorry

Totally not needed and a little overboard IMO. Your lid isn't touching anything and it's not going to touch the beer when you put it back. Furthermore, the environment inside that bucket now isn't exactly prime for harboring infectious bacteria.
