I used to fill my fermentation bucket and add enough Star San to create a solution and soak everything in there. Lately I've been creating a 25oz solution in a spray bottle and simply spray everything down. When it dries I spray it again. I've never had any issues with contamination but am I gambling with my beer or is this just as effective as soaking my equipment in the five gallon solution?

The spray method is fine. Make sure you're mixing your starsan in distilled water. If it gets cloudy, throw it out.

I've always used water from the tap but buying distilled water won't set me back much so I'll start using that instead.

Thanks for the tip!
