I was at the local beer shop and some, sitting in the far corner, a lonly six pack of Sam Smiths holiday brew. I looked over the label quickly and saw nothing to give a hint as to what it was. Anyone here try it?

I'd just buy it and try it. We can get cases here, but I haven't seen it sold in 6's otherwise I would have tried it long ago. Anything by Sam Smith's is alright by me. :)

I've had it. I wasn't overly impressed. It hits the "Winter Warmer" style guidelines almost spot on, but it's really not great beer, IMHO. The alcohol bite is a bit harsh and bitter, and the malt flavors don't make up for that.

However, never pass up the opportunity to try something new. Perhaps you'll love it.
