This is what I have planned for Sunday Morning. Comments Welcome.:mug:

No way SA Cream Stout has wheat??? I usually can't stand anything with wheat in it but I love that beer.

That recipe looks rock solid to me, where did you find it?

I did a cream stout last winter, turned out great and didn't last long at all. I bet yours will be the same way.

Good luck and will be awaiting your results.

From Sam Adams Website:
MALT VARIETIES

Samuel Adams two-row pale malt blend, malted wheat, roasted unmalted barley, chocolate malt, and Caramel 60

Came up with this Recipe with some research then created the rest on my own.

Brew day Sunday. Hit all the numbers.

Why'd you ditch the roasted barley?

I did something like this attempting to get something like Highland's Black Mocha Stout, which does not have lactose, but is still a sweet stout. I used a lot of caramunich and crystal 85, a good bit of choc malt and roasted barley, and about 5% wheat malt. I took the ingredients listed and supplemented with what I had and made up the percentages myself. Maybe wheat malt is a good thing in a sweet stout for body and head? Gravity samples have been good and very chocolatey tasting. I'll probably bottle in a week or two.

Roasted unmalted barley I assume equals flaked barley. I could be wrong but will see how it turns out. Maybe, next run will try the malt barley.

Flaked barley has an srm around 2 give or take. Roasted unmalted barley is in the 450srm range.

Yeah, you got the unmalted part, but not the roasted. They are diferentiating RB from Black patent, which is dark roasted MATLED Barley. A stout isn't a stout with Roasted Barley.

the all-grain recipe in Beer Captured lists the grain bill as 72 percent two-row pale malt, 11 percent malted wheat, 7 percent crystal 60L, 5.5 percent chocolate malt and 4.5 percent roast barley.
Guess I missed the last part...next run.
