I have a pale ale that is starting to grow some funkiness. What do you guys think? Is this salvageable? The beer has been done fermenting for quite some time. I was going to keg today until I saw the fun stuff growing. I know the pictures are kind of hard to tell what's going on. The beer has a film on the surface and white spots growing on the film. There are also some white boogery substance accumulating on the glass above the surface of the beer. That just kind of looks like yeast though. Just wondering if I can pull the beer out from under the film and drink. What do you guys think?

Again, sorry for the crappy pics. All I have is a crappy phone.

Looks like lacto. Probably will not affect the taste for a long time. lacto is hindered by alcohol.

If it tastes fine, package and drink. Don't store long-term (6+ months) or the bugs might start to affect the beer (could be gushers in bottles).

Remember: There are no known pathogens that can survive in beer.
