I never saw it up close. Hope nobody was hurt.

I'm not catholic , but this is one of the most gut wrenching things I've seen since 9 /11 . So much history just gone.

My wife and I were just there the week before last. Heartbreaking.

I'm not even religious at all but I recognize a true icon when I see it. Paris will never look the same. Not to mention the irreplaceable artwork that may not have survived.

It’s been reported that they saved all the artwork and historical relics.

I went there last June, and it truly was astounding. Walking inside felt like being sent back a few centuries. I'm glad I got to see it, but I feel for those who may never get that chance now. And it was actively used for services, so unfortunately they'll need a new home.

With that said, Notre Dame has been through multiple ransackings and lootings. If a simple fire were able to fell the Dame thing it would've been gone centuries ago!
