Maybe you should look into it, I never said DON'T go to T7, I said if you had to choose I would take NG over T7/Fieldwork.

And that's how I interpreted it, too, FWIW. Going to do my best to squeeze in all of them (Track 7, New Glory, Fieldwork). I've been told Urban Roots has good food and beer as well. That could be a dinner option one night.

Right? I don't get what bathroomlaughter is talking about, I think he just wanted to talk ****.

That being said, Urban Roots makes some FANTASTIC saisons if you're into that. I went there within their first month of opening and was really impressed for a brand new brewery.

Losing battle^^ So not worth the effort.
Not sure why he is even battling, I never said in any of those not to go to T7. Just that other breweries in the area have surpassed them. OP himself even said that's how he understood it as well. Pathetic troll attempt, 1.5/10.

Shocked to see some action in the Sacramento thread...lol...

I would choose NG over T7 as well if you have to make a choice. But it is quite a bit further (Power Inn Rd near Sac State College) from the Sac Airport and downtown as well.

Went to the NG taproom in Sacramento this past Saturday. Solid as always. Enjoyed the new Hopochondriac DIPA on tap.

NG may also have a new Stout release this coming Friday.

Also for the people out in the Suburbs.... New Glory just opened a 2nd location in Granite Bay (near Roseville). They are doing well for sure. They are even teasing "ANOTHER" expansion is in the planning stages on IG

I mean, I can uber anywhere I guess but would prefer to keep it as centralized as possible. New Glory to Fieldwork to Urban Roots (and/or Capital Hop) isn't all that bad. I'll get two uber trips per day reimbursed. Looks like Fieldwork to Urban Roots is walkable. Sucks that the conference/hotel are all the way out by the airport but whatever. Makes the post-conference trip to the airport bearable (plus allows for more uber reimbursements to breweries lol)

If New Glory is definitely worth getting to in the majority's opinion I'll definitely make it happen. From there it's just working my way back west, so it'll be a good starting point to the day. This is all assuming that these places will be open on Veteran's Day, which I am assuming they will be. If not, then it'll just rule a couple places out, no big deal.

New Glory is open on Mondays 12-9pm, so you are good to go on 11/12. Fieldwork & Cap Hop open as well. Urban Roots is closed on Mondays though.

Doubt this Stout will still be around by then, but a couple of interesting releases coming up this Friday 10/26 at New Glory.

Ah, good to know re: Urban Roots. Takes that out of the equation for Monday dinner. Maybe I'll go back down for dinner on Tuesday night.

Got up to Moonraker for the latest releases. The Hermit IPA and Simcoe Double Crush DIPA.

I liked The Hermit as usual, but the Simcoe Double Crush didn't seem as vibrant as I remembered it?

OK, so I got back last night from my Sacramento trip. The first day I did New Glory to Fieldwork to dinner across the street from Fieldwork at Paesano's to Fieldwork for a couple more beers.

The second day I only had time for Capital Hop Shop before meeting up with colleagues for dinner. My thoughts:

HOLY HELL is New Glory good. I was not expecting that at all. I tried most of the IPAs that were available to go (to see what I might want to bring back), and the King Size. King Size was OK but I was totally blown away with the IPAs, even the Triple that was on and that's a style I tend not to like. I brought back multiple 4pks of Greenergy, Galactus, and Mouth Party. I legit thought about skipping Fieldwork and just spending the entire night at New Glory to try even more of what they had on tap.

Fieldwork was as good as ever. I was pleasantly surprised to see a couple bottles remaining of the bottled sour, so I grabbed two of those right off the bat. Tried the Passion Fruit and PB&J Parfaits (crowler to go of the PB&J but more to share the novelty of it with friends here in San Diego; I thought the passion fruit was better), and a handful of IPAs. I'd initially intended to bring back multiple Fieldwork crowlers but realized I wouldn't have the room between all the New Glory cans and the Fieldwork bottles. Need to bring a bigger suitcase next time.

Capital Hop Shop: Couldn't spend as much time there as I'd have liked because they were kicking people out for the Moonraker dinner, but I did get to try some Moonraker beers, a couple Fieldwork IPAs that weren't on at the tasting room, and some Alvarado Street beers. Cool spot.

I can pretty safely say that I enjoyed my time at New Glory the most of these three places. Fieldwork is fine but a little pricey considering the 3oz pours of their tasters. New Glory is definitely a must stop and really glad y'all recommended it. Thank you!

If anything, you guys undersold it. Incredible beer. So many cans just sitting in the fridge, too... just because of the location, maybe? And literally just three people in it when I pulled up. Typically all bad signs, haha. Totally blown away by the place.

That is cool that you liked NG. The original location you visited is kind of out of the way from the main part of Downtown Sacramento. As I mentioned a few posts up, they have done well enough to open a 2nd location (tap room and eatery) up in Granite Bay/Roseville area. Super nice location. They have really upped Production and Distro as well over the last few months. They do multiple can releases almost every week. With the increased competition of 70 breweries in the Sacramento area, they usually don't sell out of anything right away, but it is nice that the fridge stays pretty stocked.

New Glory's Head Brewer Kyle was previously at Moonraker. He knows his IPAs and what the locals are looking for. They have done quite a bit of experimenting with Stouts, Milkshakes, Pilsners and Sours as well.

They even have a small barrel program started.

Headed to South Lake Tahoe this weekend to try & escape that SMOKE. Any spots I should check out over there?

I am glad you made it out there and enjoyed it. I tried not to undersell it! ;)

I think New Glory is the best brewery in Sacramento proper. They do hops, lagers and stouts very well.

South Lake Brewing has been very popular at our spot. A new taproom opened up there recently called The Hangar. I haven't been there, but from social media, the selection seems to be solid.
