I recently brewed a RIS using Wyeast Denny's Favorite 50. I mashed at 152 and fermented for 4 weeks before secondary. Initial gravity was 1.104 and final gravity is 1.032. That is an apparent attenuation of 69%. It tastes pretty good, but that seems quite high. Should I dump some US-05 in there to try to bring it down more?

ETA: I have brewed a very similar recipe before with 1056 and it got down to 1.024

1.030 FG is the official high end of the style guideline. Dennys Favorite (in my limited experience) isn't the best attenuator and rarely do people get the 74-76% attenuation that the strain advertises. I also tend to like RIS's on the high end of the FG spectrum. All of these things stated, I would not pitch any US05 and enjoy your RIS as is.

69% percent isnt bad but personally, i would add the us05 or notty or champagne yeast. I guess it depends how much caramel malt/munich/oats/flaked barley you used to depend on sweet or thick it tastes. I think if you can get it down to 1020, it would be much better
