Hi,
I'm a long time reader but this is my first post. Two roads has a beer called Route of all evil. Apparently the beer was put on hiatus this year. I would love any help on this. Not really sure what I'm doing especially with dark hoppy beers. This is from two roads "A hefty Black Ale with profound malt and hop complexity. Neither Stout nor Porter, this beer is full-bodied, bold and black with flavor characteristics of dark chocolate, mocha, molasses and dark fruits balanced by piney citrusy notes of Pacific Northwest hops. Full-bodied and uncommonly satisfying at 7.5%
This is what I have so far
79% 2 row
3.6% Midnight wheat
3.6% flaked oats
3.6% special B
3.6% crystal 40
3.6% melanoidin
3.6% carafa I
I found something online that said it is 40srm, reason for the all the random dark malts. Also said it uses Chinook, cascade, centennial, and crystal to 70 ibu. Any advice on how much hops toward end of boil/dry hop a beer like this to have them stand out but not BIPA style would be awesome too. Thanks in advance
Cheers!
