Rose water. Good idea or bad mojo?

I've been playing with the idea of using rose water in a batch soon. I was thinking this would have to be a light flavor wine for the rose water to come through in the finish. What are the thoughts on this?
 
Rhodomel is a mead made with rose petals (or rose water). Never made a rhodomel with rose water because I cannot figure out how much rose water is equivalent to rose petals... but if you are willing to experiment I would make a batch with a small quantity of rose water and then slowly add more until you hit the flavor profile you want.
