Hey folks, my son and I make root beer on a regular basis and were thinking about testing time to 'acceptable' carbonation levels using temperature as the variable.

Any idea how to phrase this to his teacher??? I only bottle and don't keg.

determining the effect of temperature on yeast metabolism, as measured by CO2 output in a closed system.

Thanks. I found some fizz giz caps online last night where we can hook a psi gague to the bottles. That should allow the plastic bottles to go much higher than glass without the problem of exploding glass.
