I just bought a Stainless Steel Conical and couldnt tell if it was done fermenting so I opened the top to take a look. Looked like it was done. I took a whiff and it was a strong almost burnt I nostrils type of smell. Thoughts? If that CO2 or is something wrong with the beer?

That's CO2. It would be the same if you could open the top of a carboy.
