I started a similar thread on BeerAdvocate, and thought some might find it helpful here, as well. I was wondering if people could post a short video on the type of rolling boil they get with whatever source they use.
The BTU #'s don't really give people a tangible idea of what type of boil you achieve, and I thought it might be helpful for people to be able to visualize a boil on respective systems, before deciding what they need.
Here's what I boil on, this is a GE Adora, and it uses the "Power Burner" that puts out 17,000 BTU. What you see is the result only a few minutes after it started to boil, but just as the hot break subsided.
So:
17,000 BTU
7 Gallons
