I am brainstorming lager ideas in my head today...

Every time I look up Helles Bock or Maibock style beers commercially available I see Rogue Dead Guy ALE on the list.. what gives? did Rogue use the malt bill from a lager style and use ale yeast and ferment warm?

Anyone have good tips on tasty Vienna lagers? not many are available in my area so I wanna make a tasty example.

Dead guy ale is supposedly a Maibock but its fermented with an ale yeast.... They use Pacman yeast which is fairly clean but that style is supposed to be fermented with a lager yeast....

I would recommend the Vienna lager recipe from Revvy in the recipe section. I just made it not to long ago and its very good. i like it better than the local Vienna lager i was buying.
