I dont like cleaning up after blow offs like that. Now I use a hose during the first few days. Good job getting a pic for the post.
 
My last 4 brews have fermented near 61 degrees and I've only had about 1/2 inch of krausen. Can you tell I don't like cleaning up messes?
 
Funny thing is, I've got a blow off, just never use it. It's been 3-4 years since I've had one like that. Of course that is the biggest beer I've made in a long time, 10 lbs LME and some candy sugar, I should have known. It made me laugh.
