I got my latest batch in the tun this afternoon at 6pm. It is Jamil's Shallow Grave and has 22 oz total of chocolate/black patent for a 5G batch. I have the grain in a sack and can pull it out before bedtime. Should I do that or just let it all sit overnight? Worried about tannin extract. I am heavily leaning towards just pulling the sack out after a couple of hours. I will be starting my boil tomorrow morning when I get up.

I've done an overnight mash as and experiment with my last 2 batches. They were 2 of the best beers I've made. I would leave it alone. You'll not have any issues.

I've done overnight mashes with chocolate/black patent and it's turned out fine. I know some suggest cold steeping those grains and then adding that liquid but I think you'll be fine as long as you used reasonable percentages of black patent.
