Hello Brewers,

for some months I have purchased a 4-stage RO system (including chloramine filter), I would like to share some experience with those like me who use this type of system for the correction of water.

I searched in the various titles, but I can't find a specific one on the water, am I wrong?

I hope to be able to get in touch with some of you to talk about this issue.

Thank you

My recommendation is to download the Bru'n Water software. There is simply nothing better on the market. I would like to suggest that even though it is free to download, there is a donate button to throw some money Martin Brungard's way to help with R & D. It is just good karma.

When first starting out with adjusting salts, Bru'n Water is too complex. It's very easy to shoot yourself in the foot. It's just a spreadsheet after all.

I'd recommend using Brewfather or BeerSmith for awhile before considering a move to Bru'n Water, if ever. Both have the equivalent of an Easy Button which generates suggested amendments, whereas with Bru'n Water, you're coming up with your own additions and the spreadsheet is telling you the result.

Is this your have a blog?

Forum concensus seems to be that the science behind water chemistry is complicated.

Yet there a number simple approaches to brew day adjustments to RO water that use measuring spoons and an accurate scale (e.g. A Brewing Water Chemistry Primer).

Thanks for the feedback.
I know Brew'n Water perfectly, but I would have liked to relate to someone who has long been creating all the recipes starting from RO water to receive considerations.

For some time now I have been using Brewfather as a software to manage everything, the latter also for creating water profiles. Under this last point, however, I am not yet convinced that it works well, maybe I'm wrong, but Brew'n Water seems more reliable. Am I wrong?

See slide 9 then of the .pdf linked in message #4 above. The approach should work with any software.

It sounds like you're starting at the very beginning. Before messing with software, maybe do some reading. Here's a start, which also includes recommendations for further reading at the end:

;) Actually I have been brewing beer in the AG since 2007, with more than 300 batches behind me.
I have perfectly known Brew'n Water, Brewfather and I have been treating water for years, but I have recently implemented an RO system, therefore I wanted to compare myself with those who have used similar systems for some time to inherit some pills or advice.
