ring on top of my brew

First time brewing beer and everything seem like it has gone well, however day 3 and I notice all the foaming has stop and I now have a light colour ring floating on top.
Is this a sign of infection in my brew.?

No. It's a sign that the foaming has stopped and the krausen has dropped back into the beer. It means that fermentation is finishing up.
