I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for how to mount the Blichmann electric RIMS Rocket. I had planned to mount it by attaching a quick disconnect to the input and plugging it in directly overhead of my pump. However it is considerably bigger/heavily than I expected (empty even) and its side loading the heck out of the March 815-PL pump head.

The RIMS Rocket has the power plug on the bottom, outlet on top, and inlet on the side, so it won't sit on a flat surface. I see Blichmann has a ToP mount for it, but that wouldn't work for my set up. I'm curious what others have done.

I saw that bracket before I posted here, but i don't have a suitable vertical surface to mount it to.

I am brewing on a stainless steel kitchen prep table so I've got 3 kettles on top, and a shelf on bottom. Pumps and plate chiller are on the bottom right now.

Ideally i'd like to keep everything on the table and not have a separate free standing structure just for this.

If it is a 4" diameter can you get one of these sanitary brackets and mount it to something on your stand?

I silver soldered a 3/8" nut in the bottom of 1.5" ones and use threaded rod to mount my rims tube.

those are very similiar to the brackets I bought at the home depot for 47 cents a piece for my rims set up. But the key difference is mine are not stainless a can rust if I get them wet...

The rims rocket is 5" diameter so pipe braces aren't super easy to source. This was my concept, but the unit is much larger and heavier than expected. I am not comfortable placing that much of a moment arm on the pump head.

I had wanted to keep as much of this as possible in stainless, but I'm thinking a 2x4 cut to length might be good and simple option to support it while in use. Going away from this set up makes headaches since it's what I designed some other components around.

Can you use two extra large stainless hose clamps and secure the rocket to the leg of your table and then run silicone hose from the rocket to the pump?

This is what I ended up doing for now. It's just a leftover piece of copper pipe cut to length. View attachment 241626

Not the most elegant, but effective, cheap and still metal.

Looks like you have the same table as me. I ended up cutting a 5" hole in the table. The Rocket sits in it nicely. :mug:
