Brew had stalled due to cold snap on about day 3 of the ferment. I built my own little mini-fermenter with a clear rice container, a small piece of tube put in a glass of water. I drilled a small hole in the lid and passed the tube into the rice container and then fed the tube into a glass of water. Cooked up some Coopers carbonation drops in about 20oz of water and cooled to 80f. Put the mix in the rice container, pitched some yeast and let ferment for about 12 hours until the fermenting just started to slow a little.
Pitched the entire yeasty mix into my main fermentor and voila the entire thing came back to life after a few hours. The hydrometer readings started to drop, some pressure built up in the release valve and everything went back on track.
Beer is pretty hardy stuff and I'm pretty happy the whole thing wasnt wasted.
