...or was it Kracken?
Anyways, I brewed an AG IPA a month ago, after a week it tasted amazing. It's been hanging out between 60 and 70 degrees (I live in CA, who'd have figured that would happen during winter?) Now that I'm brewing another to pitch onto it's yeast, I went to take a look at it and it looked like the krausen was back, with chunky yeast (maybe?) floaties.
I'd have searched the site, but I really have no idea what I'm dealing with here.
This is first thing in the morning, so I tasted it and I can't tell if it's just hoppy-bitter or if something is wrong (note: nothing is wrong with beer being the first thing you drink in the morning). It definitely has an aftertaste, but I can't tell *why* or if it's *bad*, per se.
Science words, anyone? Thanks!
