Repriming Already Bottled Beer

Its been 6 weeks since I bottled a IIPA and there is absolutely zero carbonation. And yes I did put the priming sugar in, what Im thinking is that the 10% alcohol volume has killed off any yeast activity that was possible. Im going to open all the bottles pour them into the bottling bucket and reintroduce yeast let set a few days then reprime and rebottle. Im hoping there isnt going to be any bottle bombs but I guess I shall see.

Ok i know this will sound like a pain but here is what i would do. Open all the bottles, sprinkle in a few grains of Dry Nottingham yeast per bottle and re-cap, Shake them well, and let set some where in the 70s range to carb up. I have done this before, yes its a hassle, but it does work well.

Actually sounds like a lot less hassle than what I was thinking of doing..:mug:
 
I had the same thing happen with a strong stout (9.5%). A small micro-brewer friend of mine recommended spooning a little bit of krausen into the bottle neck, giving a little shake and letting (hoping) it carb up.
Haven't gotten around to it yet, but the SafeAle US-05 is waiting in my fridge and the DME in my cupboard...

The flat beer does taste great. Had a dud with my last IPA batch (I blame the red hook bottle.) Didn't cap properly, had zero carb. I thought to myself should I dump it? Hell no, I'm not wasting beer. Tasted good, actually thought the hop aroma was more pronounced if that makes sense.
