replacing flacked barley in oatmeal?

will i achive the creminess of the flacked barley from oatmeal?
the problem is we don't have flacked barley here.

Yes.......a slight change in taste , but not enough to worry about

If you're talking about removing flaked barley and replacing it with oatmeal in a recipe, there's a pretty big flavor difference IMHO....but if you can't get flaked barley in your area, what can ya do...
