Replacing chugger with a riptide.

I have 2 chuggers plumbed in with stainless pipe that I would like to change out.

Are the dimensions of the flow/return in the same?

Yes. I put standard 1/2" Camlock connections on mine. 1/2" NPT

If you're asking if the treads are the same as mongoose said they are but if I'm reading it correctly your asking if the ports are in the EXACT same position I don't think they are. You'd have to bend new pipes.cheers

It looks like the in and outs on the two pump heads are in very similar locations but not so clear that it's going to be a slam-dunk...

Yes, they look close but stainless doesn’t give much.

Maybe I’ll just have to re pipe it.

the march made riptides are much easier to clean. they come apart in seconds

That and the noise reduction. The Teflon washers are a pain too

The Riptide uses a thrust washer just like March and Chugger. Is it a different material than Teflon?

Running a pair of 815PLs all these years I quickly learned to keep a stock of the Teflon thrust washers
