So I had my first batch with absolutely no airlock activity whatsoever. I've done enough prior research to know not to freak out and airlock activity means nothing in the grand scheme of things. But, it was still a huge relief this morning (the 5th day of fermentation) when I found the SG was down to 1.014 from 1.046. I don't typically even bother checking SG until the 12th day but in this case my worries got the best of me. Anyway, just a mindless post to reiterate to the others newbs: DON'T FREAK IF YOU GET NO AIRLOCK ACTIVITY! The yeasties love you and will work hard for you!

happy to hear the yeasties were doing their thing. it's sad to have to dump a batch. had to dump a batch of hard lemonade a couple weeks ago, as nowhere on the ingredients did it mention any preservatives, but after repitching, and 3 weeks, still 1.080 instead of the expected 1.005
