So I just got done brewing my third batch yet. It's a northern brewer caribou slobber BIAB kit. It came with a dry yeast, Danstar Windsor. I rehydrated in 4 ounces of water and nuked for 15 seconds as per instructions. Then I immediately remembered that I had NOT STERILIZED my pirex measuring cup that I was using to rehydrate my yeast. I immediately transferred the yeast into a sanitized container right as it came out of the microwave. Could the contact with the unsterilized measuring cup for less than a minute be long enough to infect my batch? Gotta start brewing earlier. By the time 230am roles around I start to make mistakes. Thanks

I also just used tap water (did not boil before hand) as that's what's appears to be the directions on the back of the label. Did I goober that up too?

I don't ever remember the instructions to put yeast in the microwave, but I could be wrong. What I do is put tap water in my measuring cup, heat up in microwave for about a minute. Then let cool to about 80-85 F before rehydrating the yeast. Then pitch after 20-30 minutes. I wouldn't worry about not sterilizing the cup (although it is a good practice to follow). I don't think your batch is going to be infected from it. I would worry about putting the yeast in the microwave as I do not know how it will affect them.

Ya I even gave my girlfriend the yeast packet and asked "what do you think these instructions say?" She said ya pour the yeast in 4 ounces of water and microwave for 15 seconds then stir. You live you learn I suppose. I found great comfort in this thread I found where everyone shared their biggest mistakes and the beer still turned out great.

Speaking of which... My brew started bubbling like crazy in less than 8 hours after pitching and it's still going strong. Just gonna ride this out, learn to take my time and read more homebrewtalk during brew day for processes I'm unfamiliar with.

I don't think you should microwave it with the yeast! If I am using dry yeast, I boil water in a pyrex measuring cup (1 cup water in a 2 or 4 cup pyrex). If you cover it with plastic wrap it will boil faster. It only takes 2-3 min to boil, but I usually let it go for 5. The boiling water will sanitize everything in the cup. I let it cool for 30-40 min (below 90 F) and add in the yeast, I stir it with a sanitized fork or spoon and leave it covered until I need it.

Ya I agree with you... But it's the most active fermentation I've seen yet! Won't make it a habit though...

Everything that comes in contact with the yeast should be clean and sanitized. Many instructions even call for sanitizing the yeast packet and the scissors that you cut the yeast packet open with, and I agree. But as others said, you're probably fine.
