I'm now thinking of getting a new regulator. I am sick of having to battle with the one I have/using the screwdriver to adjust it and then not really knowing how much it is adjusted because it takes forever to change...anyhow, I was thinking either Micromatic or Taprite.....What do you think the best bet is?

I've got micromatic and kegco with the big metal knobs, both work fine, kegco much cheaper.

I did a lot of research, and went taprite and have had no issues.

Kegco it appears will stand behind their product, so great customer service, but hit or miss with their regs sometimes (seems to go up and down on the complaints)

fwiw/imo Taprite makes so many versions of each regulator one needs to do a bit of study to be assured of receiving what one desired.
You can get a bare reg (no low-side fittings), or brass barbed, or 1/4" MFL, or with shut-offs with integrated checks and barbs, or with shut-offs with integrated checks and 1/4" MFL threads, or shut-offs without checks with either barbs or flare...

...ad infinitum. Or so it seemed when I ordered my latest dual primary model...

Cheers!

Yes, I agree....very overwhelming with all the choices. I ended up getting the Taprite742HP...Hopefully this helps my issues.
