While I am very far away from brewing anything over 5 gallons, I can't help but think about how I would start to brew bigger and bigger batches. Would it be possible to convert an old refrigerator into a big mash tun? I was thinking basically it would be an over sized cooler mash tun. Push the full sized fridge onto it's back so the door opens like a cooler, and maybe add more than one hole for sparging? Thoughts?

Edit: Just realized this should probably go under DIY Projects.

less than 5 gallon batches to a Fridge? Thats a big jump.

The material that the inside of a fridge would most likely not be food grade and would not handle high temps. My guess.

That was also what I would have guessed too.

Planning on brewing your yearly 200-gallon limit all at once, hmmm?

Actually, I did not know about that! Guess I'll just have to start a licensed brewery. DARN. /sarcasm

I just want to know what you plan to use for a boil kettle!

I was looking at 100 gallon kettles, they'd be big.
