So, picked up my supplies earlier this week to brew my virgin batch this weekend. I either didn't notice or forgot the guy mentioning to refrigerate the yeast in question, and left it with the rest of my ingredients at room temp; about 65 degrees. I finally picked up the vial read it, and immediately set it in the fridge. After choosing not to brew today, for the possibility of a power outage stopping my boiling stage, I returned it BACK to the fridge after about an hour and a half? My question is, is this going to mess with my yeast to the point that my batch is going to be ruined?

In general yeast don't really like quickly changing temperature. Best practice is to stick your yeast in the fridge right after you get it then take it out the night before or morning of brew day to let it warm up to room temp (unless you are making a starter in which case let it warm up before pitching to starter).

I wouldn't worry too much in your case to be honest. Yeast viability might be a little bit lower than normal, and the yeast have been stressed some. I would probably make a starter to make sure you have a nice healthy cell count and also to help 'normalize' the yeast after the stress they have undergone with the temp swings.
