**** Red

I'm new to the forum as well as new to wine making.
I live in Northeastern PA, and have had a homemade "**** Red" at parties and loved it. What exactly is **** Red and how to do make it??? From waht I have read it is just an Italian style wine made outside of Italy???

Does anyone have a preferred grape or blend of grapes they use to make ****.

The reason they call it **** Red is because Italian immigrants made it back east. I'm sure they'd prefer an Italian variety but, chances are, they didn't have a lot of money and they likely used whater red grapes were available. Why not try a 3 cans of Alexander's Barbera? You're too late for fresh grapes or frozen juice.
