SWMBO is a HUGE... I mean HUGE fan of New Holland Brewing Company's "Dragon's Milk."

Obviously replicating the "barrel aging" would be difficult, but could anyone give me an idea of an extract kit that mimics that brew? Or at least comes close?

Thanks!

I've been thinking about adding oak chips to the primary as in wine. I'm sure there's probably threads on this but It may help with the barrel ageing thing.

I was looking at a "Strong Ale" kit from Austin Homebrew... wondering if that might fit the bill, and add the oak chips to the primary as you suggested orfy.

Maybe even soak them in bourbon? :)

Might be kind of spendy, but it'd be special :)

I hope SWMBO doesn't read this thread.

Perhaps you can come up with a more flattering meaning for SWMBO, but to refer to her as HUGE is a definite no-no.
