I have drank to much and brewed to little. Out of beer!!!
Looking through the hops I have...

4oz ctz whole
6oz simcoe whole
6oz citra pellet
3oz wakatu pel
2oz simcoe pel
1oz Amarillo pel
1oz uk kent Golding pel

Any recipe ideas? I will go buy grain in the next couple of days.
Anyone ever use wakatu? Thought about maybe doing a smash with it.
I know I need a quick turnaround session beer first. I'm thirsty!!

Do something new and exciting, try making chicha! Bet you can't get your friends to help.

Not what I had in mind.
Funny to imagine what my friends would think when I explained it to them after we were done.
They would never want to try my craft beer again.

I used wakatu in my all NZ hopped Maori IPA. Came out a lot like SA Ltitude 48 IPA,but with that NZ troical fruitiness in there as well. Quite tasty. I listed the recipe under partial mash American IPA on beersmith site. Wakatu contributes floral & lime citrus tones, with a lil spiciness. Mostly lime I think. The spiciness seems to have gotten buried in the flavor complexities I brewed into the beer. gravity samples smelled & tasted distictly of cinnamon & alspice initially.

A guy at work farms and is going to bring me in a bucket of wheat. I think I will try this for one.

6# 2 row
4# raw wheat
1# flaked oat
All wakatu hops 7% as
1 ounces at 45
.5 ounce at 10
.5 ounce at 0
1 ounce dry hop

Thoughts?
