Looking for some help...I'm planning an Imperial IPA 1 gallon batch. I'm using Brewer's Friend's online calculator to formulate the recipe. My hop additions are planned as:
.5 oz US Magnum (13.5% AA) at 60 min
.5 oz US Magnum (13.5% AA) at 45 min
.5 oz US Tettnanger (5% AA) at 15 min
.25 oz US Tettnanger (5% AA) at 1 min
.25 oz US Tettnanger (5% AA) dry hop for 7 days
Problem I'm getting is the IBUs are coming in way off the style charts. Has anyone else used this calculator and seen the IBUs go way over? Does the beer still come out right? All the rest of my recipe hits the style except the IBUs.
Thanks all...
