I have a 5.5 gallon recipe with the following grain bill:
9lb 11oz pale malt (2 row)
14oz caramel/crystal 40L
12oz caramel/crystal 80L
My question is, will there be a noticeable difference in flavor if I just round all up to the nearest pound?

I agree with cswis. Just use half a pound of each type of crystal, and round up the base malt to 10 lb, and you're good. No, you won't be able to tell much difference, or, it will make the recipe even better.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m making an Anderson Valley Summer Solstice cream ale clone that I made once in the past with the original grain bill and it turned out great. I’m just trying to make a pretty simple recipe more simple! I’ll try rounding the base malt up and going down to 1/2 lb on the caramel/crystals as suggested.

Took your advice and this has become a favorite recipe! Have brewed it four times and will continue to keep it in the rotation
