Hey Guys,

I'm not sure the model number, but I have this analog, dial temp controller by Johnson:

Dial-Thermostat-th.jpg

I have to admit - it's done a great job and holds a consistent temp - but I'm pretty frustrated, because the number on the dial doesn't correspond to the temp inside the fridge. Right now the fridge is 60 degrees, but the dial is set to 66. So what I've done is stick my digital turkey thermometer probe in the fridge and then I fiddle with the settings on the Johnson until it's holding steady at the temp I want.

Is there a way to recalibrate this? Or would I be a lot happier upgrading to a ranco digital or something?

Thanks.

If memory serves, you can take the metal housing off and there is a small screw inside that you can turn to calibrate the thing or something like that.

Here's a PDF I found online...

This indicates that you can take the cover off and basically adjust the numbered wheel so that it lines up the way you want.
