I got the brewer's best summer ale from my lhbs to start me off in non-mr. beer home brewing. I always liked the pale ale from mr. beer, so that will be batch #2. Any suggestions for batch #3? I'm not into dark beers, so it will have to be something about as light as a pale ale, but different. I'm not ready to do lagers or pils yet, no control for the fridge, but they are my preferred when (aaagh) buying store bought.

Also, I plan on a two kit order and some odds and ends like irish moss for an online order, who should I go with? I'd prefer a supplier on the east coast or at least east of the Mississippi. What's a good high quality kit and supplier for me to try?

I like the brewmasters website, will probably go there next. I'll use the link at the site if there is one. Any danger of this ridiculous heat hurting the ingredients in transit? Some packages I've received recently have been about 100 F.

Just make sure to include a couple of cold packs in your order if you're getting liquid yeast. Grain and hops should be fine in the heat for that long.
