In. Still debating on getting a room that Sat, or day tripping it in.
Lookin forward to dropping elbows at the Side Project booth.
Most everything made it through the VIP section, I didn't remember anything running out, but wasn't paying much attention either. The lines didn't even get all that much longer - though I don't anticipate that being the case again this year.I think last year SP ran out of Derivation at the VIP section but everything else lasted..? It gets hazy halfway through.
I read most of the "popular" beers had timed pours AFTER the VIP session ended. Based on that I went for the reg Tix. Keeping my expectations in check, for sure.
I'm just going in prepared to drink some good beers, wait in long iines, and lose respect for beer geeks acting like dickheads (cutting, belligerent, sloppy, etc).
Right, FFF was the only one I remember doing timed pours.Hmmm. That vanilla DL came on later but I think that was the only one? MD, Westly, Derivation were all tapped during Vip and ran out within the first hour or so of public. (I think...)

Karen King was doing her level best to kick that Derivation keg during the VIP session - mega-pours galore.I think last year SP ran out of Derivation at the VIP section but everything else lasted..? It gets hazy halfway through.
Oh yeah, but unlike FFF being all "COME BACK LATER FOR THE GOOD STUFF PLEBS" that's not very annoying.A couple of breweries would put on something different when the previous keg blew, so there was a sort of timing mechanism. Side Project and FFF were both like that.
I was thinking to look into something like that as well. Like get a shuttle from a bartable location. There was talk awhile back about renting a shuttle from the bay. Did that come to fruition? My initial plans fell through, so I'm scrambling a bit.

I'll see if I can get some rough pricing.I was thinking to look into something like that as well. Like get a shuttle from a bartable location.
Bottle share in the van on the way up?Chance 5 of us (Myself and 4 others that are not TBers) might be interested.
Bummed I missed out last year, I'll be rolling into town Friday this go around. Anyone staying at the Flamingo?
With my propensity to get way more drunj than anticipated at bottle shares, and getting extreme motion sickness when drunj (HAVE TO STARE AHEAD), doing one before a beer fest sounds like a glorious idea.Bottle share in the van on the way up?
I used these guys for my wedding a couple of years ago, as they were fairly cheap: http://airportexpressinc.com/schedule.phpRough pricing I got from two places is in the $700-$800 range for 10 people for 8 hours. Anyone know of a cheaper option?
How drunj are you right now? With my propensity to get way more drunj than anticipated at bottle shares, and getting extreme motion sickness when drunj (HAVE TO STARE AHEAD), doing one before a beer fest sounds like a glorious idea.

Thanks for checking. I might end up just day tripping it up.Rough pricing I got from two places is in the $700-$800 range for 10 people for 8 hours. Anyone know of a cheaper option?
Uber is quoting $59-78 per trip for regular car. That's way cheaper than the van rentals. SUV goes up to $260 each way. I'd be down to maybe do a few Ubers up if we can get two or three per car. Thanks for checking. I might end up just day tripping it up.
