Okay, spill the beans....last Founders release will be???? I am intrigued.

Elderberry and Jasmine apparently. Idk how I feel about that
I liked it a lot. Had a ton of adjunct flavor.

Event was underwhelming. Showed up at 730 which was too late for the barrel tasting and ended up with longer than average lines for what was close to their regular lineup. Plus no cellarmaker collab. Ensorcelled bottle was great though.

I dislike both Elderberry and Jasmine, but am open to the concept. No preconceptions.....we shall see.

• Moves bottle of Enscorcelled into fridge to drink this weekend•

The new Founders with the Elderberry and Jasmine was great. Jasmine in the nose, and a sweet and sour elderberry taste. Becoming with Boysenberry kicked ass too.

The highlight from me was that Map of the Sun though. Holy **** it's good. The need to bottle gay and sell it to me. I'm stocking up.

Yay, let's blend a base golden/blonde sour with some adjunct syrups for flavor. Then charge $30/bottle.

No thanks.
The beers they make are good. Flavor wise I can't really complain too much on this years membership, though SARA, Crooked Stave and De Garde have been a lot better. The price is where it kills me. Every time I think about it I hate myself a little more for renewing.

This exactly. Some of their beers (Fields Forever, Map of the Sun) have been damn good, but the $30 price tag is what hurts.

It's actually cheaper for me to drive to Tillamook on a weekend and purchase a case of De Garde beer than it is to sit at home and purchase a case of random TRB beers online.

God, I hate Portland and their awesome cheap beer.

No it's not. The federal mileage reimbursement rate, which is an average of what it actually costs to drive a car, including gas, maintenance, and depreciation, is $0.56 this year. Tillamook is about 680 miles away. The cost of the car alone is twice what you'd pay for a case of $30 beer. And that's, by the way, assuming your time is literally worthless, which may be the case, I dunno, but I consider my time valuable.

I'm not just busting your balls here, one thing that really irks me is how no one seems to adequately value the cost/mile of driving. Traffic around here would suck so much less if people actually understood these costs and didn't drive 100 miles a day commuting.

Taking federal mileage reimbursement rate, you're right. I was taking just the cost of gas into account.

Becoming and Map Of The Sun had better be bottled. Growler of Becoming lastest 30 minutes tops.

I meant from opening my growler, to finishing the last glass. They were only filling with Becoming until 6.

Ah, I see. What did they start filling the growlers after 6 with then? I'm hoping I can get a fill of Becoming today.

Stopped in for a fill of Tangerang and there is another new beer on tap- Unlimited Juice, blend of three golden sours with cherries. Tasting good.

Couple of Perennial beers on tap also. Hommel Bier and Saison de lis.

Is it much different than Egregious? I am not the biggest fan of Egregious, but bit the bullet and got a growler of Tangerang because I wanted to give it a shot at home.
I enjoyed Egregious actually. I liked the danky funk it had going. Didn;t get to try the new one though.

It's a lot juicier/fruitier. Although I find it weird that you don't like Egregious, I've thought that was their best beer for quite a while.
