It’s been almost 2 years since we’ve released bottles of Supermassive, so we’re really excited to let you know that it’s ready! While these bottles are not included in your membership, as an Ambassador of Sour, you have the opportunity to purchase these bottles online before the public release.

Ambassadors of Sour Online Pre-sale
What | Supermassive is a dark sour beer aged in oak barrels with blackberries and black currants. The majority of barrels used in this bottled release of Supermassive consist of dark sour beer that was fermented with Brettanomyces yeast and Lactobacillus bacteria. We then blended in a red non-sour beer fermented with Abbey Ale yeast to enhance the berry-like notes and draw back the acidity. The result is a captivating dark sour that emanates notes of dark chocolate, raisin, and blackberry preserve. With a tannic finish, each sip will draw you closer to a place beyond escape.

Supermassive was first released as a 2015 Ambassadors of Sour Exclusive Bottle release and has been featured in DRAFT Magazine as one of the Top 25 Beers of 2015. Click here for more info on Supermassive.

The descriptive makes me think it turned out way too sour, and they had to fix it. I'll say it was pretty good a couple years ago, but I'll pass.

We are happy to announce that For Ever More, your second Ambassadors of Sour Exclusive Bottle Release is ready! Ever since we released our first pie inspired beer (Home, Sour Home), we’ve received a lot of requests from our Ambassadors to make more pie-inspired beers. You asked, and we made you a berry pie! For Ever More is a blend of golden sour beers aged in oak barrels with blueberries, boysenberries, cinnamon, and vanilla bean. To extract sweet and tart notes of berry pie filling, we fruited each oak barrel with 42 pounds of blueberries and 42 pounds of boysenberries. We then infused this jammy sour with cinnamon and a touch of vanilla bean to simulate the flavors and aromas found in a pie crust. The result… a beer that will warm your heart with sour and let you sip for ever more.

Two of these bottles are included in your membership and will be added to your account on Tuesday, March 28th. We have extras for you to conveniently purchase make sure to check out the details below.

More map of the moon! And it looks like they dropped the price from last year ($30 down to $27)

We are excited to announce the release of Map of The Moon ‘17, your very first Ambassador exclusive bottle release. While Map of The Moon is not included as part of your membership, as an Ambassador, you have the exclusive opportunity to purchase the limited number of bottles available. This beer will not be released to the public.

Quantities of Club Exclusives will typically be very limited. The allocation for these beers is not guaranteed and the beer can and will likely sell out. Due to the smaller quantities, the online sale may be shorter in duration than our standard Ambassador sales and the format can vary from release to release depending on the beer and quantities available. All bottles are sold on a first come first serve basis. The best way to secure a bottle of these exclusive beers is to place an order at the beginning of the sale.

What | This batch of Map of the Moon is a blend of golden sour beer with apricots. Over half of these oak barrels in this blend were fermented with saison yeast and racked into unrinsed barrels that housed a Belgian mixed culture. We then blended these barrels with oak barrels that were filled with a saison solera experiment that was fermented with various strains of saison yeast, Brettanomyces yeast, and numerous strains of bacteria. This base beer blend showcases a moderate acidity with undertones of peaches and pineapple which complement the the character from the 84 pounds of apricots that we added to each oak barrel. Super juicy, moderately sour, and overflowing with flavors of fresh apricots and peaches, Map of The Moon will guide you to apricot bliss.
