I just accepted a part time position teaching "brewing science" at the local community college.

I am quite excited to be a part of this program as it is only in its infancy and I can help shape it into something great. Having said that, I can put in as many or few hours as I want and im reluctant about this time spent away from my family working 2 jobs. I really hope this opportunity blossoms and I can transition out of a job I hate and into something im super passionate about.

My interview today concluded with "congrats, you are gonna get paid to drink and talk beer."

can you teach about trade hype, brewery only taste profiles and the superiority of batch 1?

Day 1: Why Fantome Saisons are the best.

Yesterday I was contemplating the delivery of my introduction and how to make meeting the class enjoyable with a little participation from everyone.

I thought a good ice breaker might be to talk about your favorite brewery/beer or just style. Can you imagine that level of mind *******? As the instructor, telling everyone your beer idol is DanyP of Fantome and in the next breath go over the course outline with the first couple weeks being about sanitation and consistency...

I want to join your class so bad.

Got my interview in the BA Magazine.

From banned troll to published BA superstar in ~ 4 years.

I just need to know when the print issues have been mailed out so I can log on via VPN and post about it over there when the mods are asleep.
You're a better person than I. I would have certainly given a short sighted "sit and spin" response to a write up request.

This was the labor day weekend to end all labor day weekends.

Took my kids on a helicopter ride around our valley, ate filet mignon with bare hands and got to shoot both a mac-11 and a BAR.

Also got shitrocked dominating pleebs in horseshoes and then ended up chugging a bottle of high gravity bruery beer via a deer bone "straw" we found in the woods.

Amazing!

I cant stress enough, in hindsight, how stupid it was to drink beer through a random bone we found in the woods.

I think/hope it was just a deer bone. The rancid taste it left in my mouth was worse than anything I have ever experienced in my life. We drank so much beer and ate so much random food that it was cause for serious concern when the next day all my burps reminded me of that poor decision.

I **** 17 times the next day. I pray whatever poison I might have inflicted upon myself is now out of my system.

There is video for proof of the drinking via the bone straw...I just dont know if I actually want to share it.
