Derecho incoming. Wind gusts up to 122 mph measured out west.

Going outside to watch it because I'm that guy.

Yee-haw.

As kids, we used to love playing football in hurricanes. With the right gust, I'd feel like Brett Favre. The ball would just keep going.

Can't wait for the water to start infiltrating my roommate's house. Also can't wait to have to close all the windows with the central air still not working...

The best part of playing RPG's has always been naming the characters something vulgar.

I know it's not vulgar, but yes, I call myself Dommi.

After dealing with all these banks, I understand the reason behind kick starters for breweries. I still won't do one, not because of neck beards disapproving them, but because I don't want to deal with the hassle, time and money it takes to manage the rewards.

I wouldn't frown upon a kickstarter that clearly and convincingly explained why they went that route, and offered great rewards with a clear action plan and timeline. This describes none of them so far, unfortunately. But it's not a knee jerk hatred of them.

Two girls in my office have declared that I'm great at making Chemexes, so I'm tasked with making coffee for three every day. This seems like a great use of my education.

8 pages before i realized this was a thing. My initial reaction was tl;dr but I know im pathetic enough to eventually read or at least browse it all.

In other random thoughts/news: I cleaned my garage fridge last night and found 5x 15 gram dry yeast packets that are roughly 5-6 years old. For whatever reason I immediately thought it was a perfect idea to dare someone to eat one. Then I realized I was alone and was daring myself to do it...just to see what it would be like.

Christ im dumb.

I think the inherent problem with this is that a brewery can't really offer great rewards (I am pretty sure beer can't be a reward). Also as I have already learned the clear action plan and timeline get behind schedule pretty quick. If I did do a kickstarter it would be after/right at startup to help with operating costs I thought I had lined up until something else went above budget.

you will never be as metal as san diego

edit: link does not go to motherless. it's a story about a hawk carrying a snake that hit a power line and caught on fire which then caused a brush fire.

I put a bunch of jelly beans into my coworker's multivitamin bottle a couple of weeks ago. I've been waiting for him to comment, and he has not. I don't know how you can get more metal than that.

My socks match my shirt. \m/

I woke up at 5:15 this morning after an insane tornado dream... I blame @luchalibrebeast and his current obsession with Tom Skilling.
Tornado dreams are supposed to mean you're feeling a lack of control somewhere in your life.

But dream analysis is ********.

Tornado dreams are awesome but the best is when they mash up with other ********. Tornadoes and zombies or tornadoes turning into T-Rex's are preferable.
