When I lived in NY we had a cottage in the Thousand Islands region. There were quite a few cottages/summer homes like the one above, where you better not be a sleepwalker.

This impresses me as something that sounds amazing and beautiful and tranquil and lovely... right up until you actually have to deal with the reality of living on a rock that's scarcely bigger than your house. To each, his own. 🙂

Yeah, I couldn’t do it either. Our cottage was on an island, nearly 10 miles long though, with a bridge connecting it to the mainland and room to roam.

might as well live on a boat.

at least you can haul anchor & move away from any intense weather

much as I DON'T MISS the navy, I LOVE the thought of unmooring & just floating away from any place you don't like.
