Per Steve Miller, everything's better when wet.At what point does a "grain clump" become a dough ball?

PFFFFSH, 24 inches. That's not a whisk.Speaking of dough balls, I've just had my worst case of them today. 20+ lbs. of grain with big balls. Prompted me to order a 24inch wisk for next time. I have a smaller wisk that does a good job for as far as it can reach, but it can't reach into the kettle nearly far enough.
That it is!! But as they say, 'it ain't the wisk, it's the motion." (or something like that)
Me too. The smell of fermentation is pretty special also (even if it's not in the morning).View attachment 785263I love the smell of mash in the morning
I BIAB so I'll skip that one. I bet it works great though for some.View attachment 785390
Better than a wisk when attached to a cordless drill! Stainless Steel paint stirrer.
