After picking all we could from ladders, my brother in law snagged a plastic bin with his forklift and got us 12' (4m) up. 20250529_203812.jpg
We have 11 kilos of pitted cherries in the freezer, he has 12 kilos. Not a bad haul, the best in at least 10 years.

The poppy caught my attention and as long as I had the phone out...

Cheers!
Beautiful garden, Because I live in southern New Mexico half the year where making stuff grow is a daily ordeal, I love gardening over here because it's more of a "set it and forget it" style of gardening. I spend a lot of time pulling weeds. I made some cuttings of a Beauty Bush(over here it's another name) and have about 5 or 6 actively growing

Red fox came and snagged one of my hens yesterday at 1030am .. my chicken run got demolished in recent bad weather so they free range during daylight hours now until I can rebuild, I have things rigged so they are protected in their coop at night. Had 22, now 21, and guns ready. Definitely not nocturnal.
OT.. said chicken run errr the mangled mess of what once was.

Random picture I took early spring on boat ride home; Cable laying barge with ground support and local hospital in background. The camera was left on "vivid" from taking botanical pictures, alas the water is neither that blue nor the ski that bright.

It could be a long smokey summer here :(

I just came back from a trip to TN, by way of MD, and the haze is SERIOUSLY real all along that route up 81, over the MD, and up 95/87

Don't the French have (or maybe had) an agency, commission, or similar tasked with preventing the creep of foreign words into the French lexicon?

Brew on :mug:
They tried it but it had at best mixed results. They managed to keep these words out of public documents but people are gonna talk however they want. Especially now since so many Brits have moved to France.
