Oh man...brings to mind decades of model railroading.

Y'all think brew rigs are never really "done"?

Build a 24 x 16 HO scale layout with old school block control and full scenery and you'll get intimate with "never really done"...

Cheers! :mug:

Woof! HO are tough, I could never get the hang of them, really, but really I didn't try too hard. I grew up with Dad's S gauge Flyer collection, and now my kids are doing the same. They love that stuff. Maybe one day we'll get a three generation layout built...

I have never done the block thing, I use DCC. You can run two trains on the same track right into each other if you want. :tank: Building my new layout has been a bit slow this last year. Dang beer brewing getting in the way. :tank:

I'm wicked old, and the last serious layout I built was back in the late 70s, almost two decades before the NMRA licensed the Lenz design and protocols and the first commercial DCC systems appeared in the market. So it was the classic crapload of switches on a schematic of the layout feeding hundreds of feet of wire, or nothing.

I've visited a couple of humongous clubs in the last few years and of course DCC is now the standard. It must be liberating :)

Cheers!

Pretty respectable post count you got there day trippr!

Just sanitized 29 bottles wondring where the fook is the 30th. Gonna have a beef with my LHBS monday cause the extract tin on my starter kit was also past it`s BBD.

Now, to sauna!

And another beer.

Yeah they should check their stock.

It's generally not a problem unless it's really 2X past its date.

Most of the time its turns out a touch darker.

What about the hops you bought from them?

That's more of a bitterness and taste issue of they're bad or really old.

Hops? Haven`t bought any hops yet. It`s a Cooper`s starter kit with a lager extract tin. BBD 10/2016 so not too long ago. I`d be happy if I get a free pack of fresh yeast.

Love the Schlenkerla Rauchbier Märzen BTW ;)

Nice - Wieners in Condoms simmering. Ribbed for cooking pleasure and so your tongs don't slip. :D

What a label. Poor pigs. :(

The ExtenZed boil time keeps them from geting soft before fully consumed.

Hope I don't get banned for that one... We're all adults here, right? Double entendre and so...

Sigh. I miss my HO layout. Switched to N scale because I thought it would take up less space, but then I got obsessed with the Kato bullet train sets, which really don't look good just chugging around in a little circle. So now I need room for a layout that will let me hit 230 (scale) MPH.

It's like peeling the plastic protector off of a new smartphone screen, except... worse.
