Random ingredient experiments

Today I brewed a RIS and decided to do a second runnings porter off of it, now as far as yeast went I didn't have anything besides lager strands laying around except two mason jars that I haven't used yet. That's all good besides I have a fifty fifty shot of either a Thames valley ale and a hefe strad

I was wondering if anyone had any random stories like this that thu could share either success or dailure
