JulianB Brew 2000 for Westbrook mint chocolate chip colored label thing?

If your question is if that's a good deal or not, seems like it from my vantage point. If you're asking if I want to do it, sorry but I'm tapped out on bottles. As you might imagine I got a few messages yesterday once people saw I was down there.

At the other end of the scale, I don't think Dogfish Head got the memo

While I agree they didn't bring their "A" game I would say this is a good example to show off Dogfish Head beers as opposed to going "Here is a limited beer you'll never see again!". Maybe they're using it as an opportunity to grow the brand instead of get ticks.

Sam you can send my check to....

Honestly, Bell's didn't announce their A game at GTMW and I drank more Bell's beer than anyone else's all fest (except maybe Off Color). An established brewery doesn't necessarily need to announce rare ticks to bring all the boys to the yard. And if that is all they brought, sometimes a short line is appealing at a big fest.

True. A short line means I can get a new pour to drink while I stand in line at a big line.

What Chicago NEEDS is another coffee roastery in the city.

In other news, I noticed the old Asado Pickwick is on it's third iteration while on a walk at lunch. I forgot the name of the roaster it is now but it was something I had not heard of before.

The story is about the Commons Brewery in Portland OR, nothing to do with Chicago.

That is a huge bummer. Especially when there's a terrible brewery around the corner from me which would be an ideal taproom for Modem Tones to take over.

Noooooooo!!!!!!!!!! :(:(:(:(:(:(

Personally I feel a lot more for Sean Burke who was The Commons in my mind than the owner who forced him out (he didn't leave as the article indicates, he was fired).

Oh wow, Jacob of MT's blog post on this matter seemed to imply that The Commons were just unhappy with their space and looking for another place to move in. That's a bummer.

What is Westbrook mint chocolate chip colored label thing and is there anything simliar to it in San Diego that can complete this trade? I've been desperately ISO Brew 2K since a couple of trades fell through. :(

I would be unhappy with my space if I wouldn't afford it.

Ludicrous pastry stout

Sean left several months ago, actually. A few weeks ago he started working at Fat Head's Portland. I think it's a temporary position but I'm not sure.

My initial post was a bit unclear as I was made aware of Sean leaving (being forced out / fired) based on a FB post he made a few months ago. The tone of that post made it very clear that it was not his intention to leave.

Saw the Assistant Brewer at Fatheads mentioned in the article linked above, but hoping he lands on his feet in an ownership position at a farmhouse centric brewery in the not too distant future as he was a great guy (and a phenomenal brewer).

I was thinking "what the hell, that law is crazy" and then I realized I'm currently restricted by the same law .... Congrats GA fellows, if any of you are in/near Atlanta we should grab some beers, I'll be in town soon.

Yay, now I too can stand in line and here ******** talk about how much their beer is worth on secondary and read ******** post on reddit about the poor customer service. I hate beer people (people on Talk Beer are by and large not beer people).

But seriously, the law was long overdue and the breweries who stuck it out and stayed in GA despite our ****** laws deserve all the success they can handle (and hopefully better customers than your average neckbeard). Time to drink.

No ****. I went to 3T and got stiffed on bottles and pours... but it is far and away the first day and a hyped release. It’ll ease up.

Cheers!
