Hatchimals

I just figured out what these are. This is the most genius toy idea ever. It's a combination of the "wow what will I get and never look at afterwards?!?" excitement of Pokemon booster packs + the vegetable level interactive nature of Furby + the trample your neighbor hype of Tickle Me Elmo.

******' A Spin Masters, bravo

You never break even on these club deals, but this one seems extremely bad.

My local brewery offered a $1,000.00 lifetime snifter society membership when they opened up that included the following

custom one off snifter
2 parties a year where all drafts are free
first right of refusal for all bottled offerings
your first beer free every day for the rest of your life

I was keeping a spreadsheet for the first few months, but I was alarmed at how quickly I was "earning" my $1,000.00 back so I stopped the spreadsheet so I can drink in ignorance.

So not all of them are bad, but I hear you in general.

Dark Horse was $40 for life when I joined ($60 now?) Mug filles are usually 50 cents more for a larger pour but every 6th is free. I don't even care how infrequently I use it. Their pizza is awesome.

This is so true.

My dad has stopped there 3 or 4 times now on the way back from golf trips because of their pizza.

I'd say the main reason to visit the pub in Marshall

New brewery in Austin, Lazarus Brewing has a $1000 "investment" opportunity that is similar. No bottle releases included (they're on-site only) but you get this SICK glass to use when you go to the brewery (1st drink is free).

My wife was like "ha ha, no" when I asked, lol.

My dad is in the Funky Buddha Imperial Club and that one seems worth it. It's an extra 4oz with a discount on pours in an engraved glass BUT you get to get their bottle releases the day before the public (with no standing in line) AND double allocation (so if the limit is 4 you can get 8, etc...), and a brewery workshirt.

I'm thinking about serving a beer cocktail for some friends & am planning to blend some champagne and geuze. :D

Any suggestions about the blending ratio I'd use ?

50/50 or 2/3 - 1/3 ?

How sweet should the champagne (or other bubbles) need to be to work well with the geuze ? (brut, sec, ... ?)
